Dianthus caryophyllus ‘Odessa Yellow Bling Bling’ and ‘Odessa Pierrot’

These perennial Pot Carnations have a neat and tidy growth habit and are covered with masses of fully double flowers. ‘Odessa Yellow Bling Bling’ has creamy-butter yellow blooms, and ‘Odessa Pierrot’ has deep burgundy with dark pink picotee blooms. Both varieties in this series have spicy, clove-scented flowers that attract Butterflies and Hummingbirds,

but are Deer and Rabbit resistant.

The ‘Odessa’ series grows 10-12 inches tall and wide, with a well-branched, upright growth habit. They are ideal in garden beds as well as mixed containers and window boxes. The ruffly flowers have an heirloom feel to them and are the perfect cut flower for bud vases.

They are extremely heat and cold tolerant. It will thrive in a sunny spot in the garden, but provide afternoon shade in the hottest summer climates. The Sunset Western Climate Zones are A2, A3: 1-24.
