Dianthus barbatus ‘Sweet Coral’

Dianthus barbatus ‘Sweet Coral’

Part of the ‘Sweet’ series of Dianthus, ‘Sweet Coral’ is the perfect addition to a cutting garden, cottage garden, or mixed flower bed. These beauties have an upright growth habit with salmon-coral flowers clustered atop strong stems. At maturity they grow 18-36” tall and 10-12” wide, and do not require staking. The sweetly fragranced blooms attract butterflies and other beneficial pollinators to the garden. ‘Sweet Coral’ blooms late winter, early spring, spring and autumn, and does not need to vernalize for first year bloom. It is very frost and heat tolerant (hardy to 0°F), and the Sunset Climate Zones are A2, A3, 1-24.
