Dianthus chinensis ‘Venti Parfait™ Crimson’

Just in time for the up-coming the holiday season, our Dianthus chinensis ‘Venti Parfait™ Crimson’ is in bloom and looking fabulous! The mega-sized, 2” blooms are a brilliant Crimson Red that add eye-catching pops of color to mixed containers. Dress up your porch, patio or window boxes with a classic red & white Christmas combination by pairing with a large-flowered Bacopa, ‘MegaBloom White’. Or, use as a border along a garden path alongside Viola ‘Penny White’ or Alyssum ‘New Carpet of Snow’.

‘Venti Parfait™ Crimson’ grows 8-10” tall and wide, creating a tidy mound that’s loaded with color. The fragrant flowers attract Butterflies, Bees and other beneficial pollinators, so be sure to include this in your Butterfly and Bee Friendly Garden. Plant in full sun, in fertile, well-drained soil. The Sunset Western Garden Book states that the Zones for Dianthus chinensis are A2, A3: 1-24. This means that it is a tough perennial that can handle the cold temps of winter as well as the heat of summer!
