Armeria pseudarmeria ‘Ballerina Mix’

Armeria pseudarmeria ‘Ballerina Mix’

Also known as “false sea thrift”, Armeria pseudarmeria ‘Ballerina Mix’ has a more robust growth habit, with broader evergreen leaves than true sea thrift. ‘Ballerina Mix’s’ globe-shaped flower clusters are 1 inch across and stand atop long, strong stems.

The plants grow 10-12 inches tall x 12-14 inches wide. These delightful perennials bloom from early spring through late fall, and over-winter well, often blooming year-round in mild climates. The pom-pom shaped flowers attract Butterflies and are deer resistant. Either fresh or dried, they make good cut flowers.

‘Ballerina Mix’ is perfect for edging a garden path or as a border for flower beds. Because they are tolerant of salt spray, they are ideal for coastal gardens. Tucked between stones in a rockery, they add movement and cheerful pops of color. Paired with other globe-shaped perennials, these are a fun and whimsical addition to a Fairy garden. There are abundant possibilities for ways to include Armeria pseudarmeria ‘Ballerina Mix’ in your landscape.

‘Ballerina Mix’ is considered a hardy perennial and the Sunset Climate Zones are A2, A3, 1-9, 14-24. We are currently growing Armeria pseudarmeria ‘Ballerina Mix’ in both 4” and 4.5” pots.
