Osteospermum ‘Voltage™ Yellow’ (Osteospermum ecklonis ‘Balvoyelo’)

Commonly known as African Daisies, Osteospermum ‘Voltage™ Yellow’s vibrant colors shout SPRING! This outstanding perennial’s bright yellow flowers heralds in the coming spring by being one of the first of its kind to bloom. Not only is ‘Voltage™ Yellow’ an early bloomer, it continues to bloom well into summer and fall. When mass planted, the vibrant yellow makes a stunning display. It also is beautiful when companion-planted in a container or hanging basket with Viola ‘Penny White’ and Lobelia ‘Sapphire Trailing’.

‘Voltage™ Yellow’ has a compact-full growth habit, and reaches 12-15” tall x 18-24” wide at maturity. It is both rabbit and deer resistant…now that is a very good thing!!! It is fairly drought tolerant once established, but to be honest, it looks much nicer when given regular irrigation. It will benefit from a late summer pruning to promote new growth and bountiful blooms through autumn.

It is hardy to 32°F, and the Sunset Western Climate Zones are 8, 9, 12-24. Elsewhere treat as an Annual. Plant in full sun and use in landscape beds, on slopes for soil retention, in rock gardens, cottage gardens, city gardens and coastal gardens. We are currently growing Osteospermum ‘Voltage™ Yellow’ in one gallon containers. Follow us on Facebook, or Instagram @clearwatercolornursery.
