It has lovely 4 pedaled rose-pink ‘butterfly’ flowers that flutter 18-24” above the lower foliage early summer through fall. The plant grows in a basal mound that will spread 12-30” wide, with dark green leaves tinged with burgundy. It has deep cherry-red flowers that bloom profusely from spring through fall. It is an evergreen shrub in mild winter areas, and a deciduous shrub in colder winter areas. At full growth ‘Maraschino’ will grow to be a 36” tall by 18” wide bush, so be sure you plant it in an area where it won’t be overtaken by the shade of surrounding plants, as it loves full sun, and will bloom best in that environment.
